Batch Yard Neighbor Night Shift Brewing Crafts Unique Beers

Boston is all about the local food and craft brewing movements, with dozens of area businesses producing delicious eats and drinks. And one of the best is located right down the street from The Batch Yard.

Night Shift Brewing got its start in Somerville in 2011 by three friends with a passion for home-crewed beer and has since outgrown its humble beginnings by moving into a brewery space in Everett. Night Shift is known for its unique beers, like the Viva Habanera, a rye ale brewed with agave nectar and aged on fresh habanera peppers, and the Rose, made with rosemary, rose hips and honey and aged on crushed pink peppercorns.

And Batch Yard residents are perfectly situated to stroll down to the brewery to sample Night Shift’s creative beers. The taproom is open every weeknight from 3 – 9 PM. and on Saturday from noon – 6 PM. You don’t need a reservation and Night Shift can accommodate parties of any size.

At the Night Shift Brewery, visitors can try fresh beers on draft in flights in either 4 oz. or 11 oz. pours. You can also get a growler filled or pick up a bottle of beer to take home. Night Shift also offers interactive brewery tours, so you can get a behind-the-scenes look at how its beers are made.
