While it sounds like it would be a liquor store, the newly opened Cloud & Spirits is actually a really epic Korean-American fusion restaurant and bar. And they do make a mean cocktail, hence the spirits in the name.
For food, the menu is small but mighty. Start with a light mixed green salad made with baby leaf lettuce, shaved red onion, and pea tendrils, all dressed in a smoked soy and citrus vinaigrette. Then, if you’re a seafood lover, go for the shrimp toast with homemade milk bread or the butter rice ssam with wild sesame and king crab. For the land lovers in the group, try the American Wagyu ribeye with doenjang jjigae, which is a Korean stew. And for the vegetarians in the group, the spaghetti with kimchi butter is amazing topped with some freshly grated parmesan. For dessert, try the strawberry chili sorbet! And of course, don’t forget to sip a cocktail or two. A quick favorite is the Ghost in the Melon with ghost tequila, Campari, mezcal, lime juice, smoked chili bitters, and watermelon.
