The chef prepares smaller plates that are designed for sharing, so you have the opportunity to taste-test a huge variety of unique bites. Since the gastropub opened in January, foodies have been flocking here to share the modern American tapas.
Start with the warm rye pretzel with cheddar shmear, mustard, and pickles and the smoked freekeh bread smothered with maple-koji butter. Then dig into the crab rangoon nachos, loaded with jalapenos, cream cheese, and scallions or the classic waffle fries decorated with ketchup, a house-made Sunday sauce, and coarse salt. The menu also includes a few slightly larger tapas, like Alden’s burger on a house-made bun, the Greenwood fried chicken torta, and the hickory-smoked wing flats.
